Message To Our Patients: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Covid-19 Update Hearing And Balance Doctors

Due to the ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, Hearing & Balance Doctors will be OPEN for essential/urgent care only. This decision has not been made lightly. However, considering that many of our patients are part of the most at-risk demographic when it comes to contracting COVID-19, we have chosen to close offices to do our part in trying to protect our community.

Additionally, we will be offering a drive-thru service for hearing aids. Please call for more information.

If you have an essential or urgent need, please call our office at (435) 688-8991 and leave a message. We are checking messages daily so we will call you back within 24 hours. Dr. Luekenga can also be reached on his mobile phone at (435) 313-8200.

For all other non-urgent needs at this time, you can still contact our doctors by filling out the form below.

COVID-19 Safe Practices With Hearing Aids

One of the primary recommendations to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus is to avoid touching your face. However, there is no indication that the coronavirus can spread through the ears. The orifices of the mouth, nose, and possibly the eyes are much more likely entry points for the virus.

It is always good practice, however, to wash your hands thoroughly. The hearing aids themselves can also be cleaned using non-alcohol wipes (such as the Audiologists Choice wipes available at our clinic). Inserting, removing, and adjusting your hearing aids can continue to be performed as usual.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to our clinic. Our doctors and assistants are available to answer questions and give further advice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time!
